Our Opening Hours are Monday and Tuesday 7.30am to 6.00pm and Wednesday to Friday 8.00am to 6.00pm. On Mondays we are closed at lunchtime 1.00pm – 2.00pm for staff training and development.
Our busiest time is between 8.00am and 9.30am. Unless you have a need to telephone the surgery during these hours please leave your call until after 9.30am. We then have more time to deal with enquiries. Thank you.
When the surgery is closed
1.If your problem is an emergency or life threatening please dial 999 for an ambulance.
2.Should you feel that your illness cannot wait until our next scheduled surgery and requires the intervention of a doctor please telephone 111 (NHS111 Service). You will be advised as to whether your problem can be dealt with by advice, a consultation or a visit.
To use our On-Line services you first need to register. Please contact our reception to do so. Once you have registered we then offer an on line service to allow you to:
- Order repeat prescriptions
- Notify us of a change of your contact details e.g. name, address, telephone number
Currently we do not offer appointments via our website.
Practice Area – New patients
Our core area covers the postcodes NE8 & NE11 (North of Ravensworth Castle) and we welcome new patients who live in this area. We can now take some patients on who live outside of the core area but this depends on their health needs. Please check with Reception for further information.
Home visits are for the genuinely housebound or you are genuinely too ill to attend the surgery. If you require a visit please telephone us before 10:30am with your request, unless an emergency arises later. Please give as much information as possible to the receptionist. This will help the doctor decide how best to deal with your problem. Please remember the doctor can see four or five patients in the surgery in the time it takes to make one house call.
